  • Short weekly activities, often group work and discussion guided by a example to illustrate an abstract idea, like the spectral decomposition (it was halloween at the time!) or develop more abstract mathematical understanding, like connecting statements about the rank of a matrix.
  • Running a game of team Jeopardy for a Calculus final review.

I also strive to provide engaging materials, such as interactive python notebooks for applications of linear algebra: Linear Codes, Ennumerating Paths in a Network, and the Singular Value Decomposition / Principal Components Analysis. These also served as examples for an end of term project in that class.
